An Alternative Christmas by the Sea

Are you already feeling the Christmas buzz in the air?
At we are excited at the thought that Christmas is just one month away. That is why we'd like to talk to you about something really cool which is going to take place in Italy next week.

This year, starting on November 29th up to January 11th, the city of Riccione is going to host the longest skating rink in Europe: 170 meters of ice surface ready for your twirls, right in Viale Ceccarini.
Everybody is welcome to test their skills, especially children that will have the chance to move their first steps on ice using some special custom skates.

This huge skating rink will be covered with a transparent structure in plastic, so that visitors will be able to skate even in case of rain or snow.

Despite being an appreciated seaside resort, Riccione is ready to become an authentic Christmas city. In addition to the ice rink, locals and tourists will be enjoying:
  • a huge Ferris wheel set up between the seaside and via Milano

  • a big Christmas tree lit by over 100,000 colourful lights, next to viale Dante

  • a wonderful Christmas village right in the city centre
Find more info here.

Children will also have the unique opportunity to meet Santa Klaus.
Good typical local food will be served throughout the city by lovely kiosks and adorable gourmet stands.

It cannot be a real Christmas without gifts, can it?
So, if you are spending some days in Riccione before December 25th, why don't you get involved in a great shopping session?

This year, you won't need to go the mountains to feel the Christmas atmosphere: go instead to the city of Riccione, in Italy, and enjoy an alternative Christmas by the sea. We have lots of hotel deals still available for that period!
