Ready to Live the London Dream?

23 June 2014

London, Londres, Londen, Londino… One city, many different names.
How can you resist the charm of one of the most famous and glamorous cities in the world?
A multi-ethnic metropolis par excellence. International capital of art, fashion, music, culture, business and much else. Symbol of new beginnings, the city where plenty of people started a new phase of their life.

We can call it “The London Dream”, borrowing the idea of the more famous American Dream.

London is no doubt one of those places you MUST visit before you are no longer around.
Easy to reach, accessible in prices, offering a large choice of accommodation, from low-budget B&Bs to luxury hotels, from youth hostels to private apartments.
Sadly, however, we know that, in most cases, more is less.
In other words, considering the countless accommodation options that London provides, finding a place to sleep cannot always be that simple.

Many places are overpriced, whereas the low-cost ones are often low-cost quality as well.
Also, it is essential to choose accurately the area where you wish to stay: it goes without saying it has to be a safe zone providing a strategic position to explore the city.

No worries! We are here to help you out.

Here is our personal top 5 hotel list in London.

Royal National Hotel
A 3-star hotel that travellers appreciate most for its central location, just around the corner to the British Museum, Oxford Street, Convent Garden and the Theatre District as well as close to the main tube stops and train stations.

The Royal National has over 1500 rooms that can host up to 2000 guests, including single, double, twin, triple and quad rooms. All of them are en-suite and equipped with television, hairdryer, radio, telephone and coffee/tea making facilities.
For dinner, you can choose to enjoy an authentic curry at the Indian restaurant or a light meal at the Chinese one; cocktailing at the South Side Bar is highly recommended.
Guests can enjoy special tariffs at the nearby health club, pool included.

Copthorne Tara Hotel
This is a 4-star rated hotel located in one of the most exclusive areas in London, the RBKC, that is the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, home to the famous Notting Hill Carnival.
The hotel offers:

  • more than 800 rooms, all of them equipped with air con
  • a restaurant, the Bugis Street, specializes in Oriental dishes
  • a delightful brasserie
  • a club lounge with plasma screen television
  • a bar ideal for a coffee or a cup of tea

Last, but not least, the Copthorne Tara is well-equipped to cater for corporate events of all sizes, from business meetings to weddings and anniversaries.

President Hotel
An authentic classic right in the centre of London. The President is a 3-star rated hotel situated in Russell Square, close to the British Museum. Indeed a charming hotel that has kept its original 50s and 60s features.
If you want to say “I slept in the same hotel where the Beatles slept”, the President is your right choice: here, the Fab Four stayed for some time during the spring and summer of the 1963. Priceless!
